Our volunteers make a very valuable contribution to our work at the Home of Rest, which is both a working farm and one of the Island’s major visitor attractions. Volunteering provides a great way to meet new people, engage with visitors to the Island and enjoy being part of a charitable organisation.
We would love to hear from you if you have a few hours to spare each week or each month and feel that you could assist in any of the following areas then please complete the form at the end of this page. Full training will be given in any of the volunteer roles.
Our mission is to provide old, retired or injured horses with a peaceful home for the rest of their natural lives. The 93 acre site of the Home provides an ideal sanctuary, with a capacity to care for around 70 horses, ponies and donkeys.
Without the generous support of the Manx public and our overseas visitors and friends we would not be able to provide the care and upkeep that the animals require.
Your donations help to fund our care of each animal. You can donate online here and choose where you wish your donation to go. You can also donate by cheque or cash.

The Home welcomes Coach Parties and Tourist Groups.
The on-site Café is also a great stop off point for elevenses, lunch or afternoon tea offering a great choice of lite bites, snacks and delicious cakes.
The large car park is perfect for coaches and buses, giving ample off-road parking and turning space.
Guests can be dropped off right at the door and the paths and visitor areas are wheelchair friendly.
